Rapid Response works towards Lean Six Sigma – never heard of it? Read on…

Our team is working towards streamlining our practices and processes using the Lean Six Sigma model.

Sounds like useless jargon doesn't it, but there are real benefits to using this business and performance improvement model which come in the form of quicker responses and, ultimately, greater efficiencies to our clients.

What is Lean Six Sigma?

Lean Six Sigma is a combination of two powerful process improvement methods: Lean and Six Sigma.

Both processes complement each other and used together deliver greater results than if one or other process is used individually.

Lean is popular for its methodical approach to streamlining both manufacturing and service processes by eliminating unnecessary steps while continuing to deliver value to customers.

A Lean process:

  • Is faster
  • Is more efficient and economical
  • Delivers satisfactory quality
  • Lean is achieved by removing unnecessary (or 'waste') activity not required to complete a process.

Six Sigma is simply a method of efficiently solving a problem. Using Six Sigma reduces the amount of defective processes, resulting in reduced costs and greater customer satisfaction.

How will this benefit customers?

Combine both Lean and Six Sigma we hope to achieve much greater streamlined processes resulting a comprehensive tool set to increase the speed and effectiveness of our processes – resulting in reduced costs and improved collaboration and services that are completed faster and more efficiently at no cost to quality - great news for our customers!
